In 2014, Sisters International started an integration work in the village of Rontau, just outside Oradea, Romania. Almost all Roma in Rontau are unemployed and the situation is difficult for the children. The integration project aims to do everything possible to inspire Roma children to go to school. Through homework help and food / drink, opportunities are created for the children to be able to enter the school system and get an education in a good way.
They are helped to learn to read, write and count. You also find social activities for the children to create a pleasant and fun environment. Rontau is one of the larger Roma villages in the area with about 400 children. The integration work is done in collaboration with the Eastern European Bible School.
